September 10, 2019Youth Leadership and Advocacy Group
This group is open to all youth from middle school age (11 years) to College (age 22), who live in or attend school in Arlington or Alexandria. The group will work towards being a youth led group.
The purpose and mission of this group would be to:
Give voice to youth and address issues affecting them
Develop leadership and peer mentoring skills
Create and present awareness and educational program for peers and adults in schools and community venues
Network and work with other organizations which focus on LGBTQIA+ and/or diversity issuesAn Informational Meeting for AGLA Youth is planned for 5:30pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at University of Phoenix Campus, 4401 N. Fairfax Dr, Arlington.

September 22, 2019AGLA will once again host this signature event ideal for all ages.
The location is a private residence in Arlington: 2334 S Meade St. Arlington, off S Arlington ridge near James Haley Park. An ice cream truck will be offering several exciting flavors and toppings, including Rainbow Sprinkles. There will be no sugar added, gluten-free, dairy-free options available. This ice cream social will be a fun Gayborhood gathering.Meet AGLA members – as a newbie or long-time AGLA member! Also, AGLA will invite all the current elected officials and candidates for office.
