Miss AGLA Scholarship Fundraiser
Miss AGLA Scholarship Fundraiser
–
August 29, 2021Arlington, VA – Each year the AGLA awards one outstanding Arlington Public High School senior with a $2,500 college scholarship. Recipients are selected based on their demonstrated accomplishments in support of the Arlington Public Schools’ (APS) policies of diversity, fairness, and safety and/or their membership and activities in their schools’ Gay-Straight Alliance.
AGLA founded its scholarship during its 20th anniversary year. Twenty years later, by providing some of the resources necessary to attend college, AGLA has helped numerous Arlington high school students with a demonstrated commitment to LGBT equality. This is just one of the demonstrable elements of AGLA’s commitment to our community and an opportunity to lend our support to the youth of Arlington County.
To ensure that AGLA is able to continue our commitment of providing scholarships for worthy APS seniors we are holding a fundraiser on Sunday August 29, 2021.
