  • AGLA Board Meeting

    Category: General AGLA Board Meeting

    December 24, 2018

Are you interested in being active in the local community? Sit in on the next AGLA Board meeting and meet the leadership team. We will meet on the patio and enjoy the dinner special. This is a great way to learn more about the organization and to be part of this grassroots organization. You can be an AGLA member regardless of where you reside.

AGLA is a strong beacon for equality. It is an inclusive nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit open to all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning (LGBTQ) people and straight allies. It provides fun social activities, builds relationships with elected officials, and works with civic groups on community service. For more information, visit http://new.agla.org/volunteer/

  • AGLA Gayborhood Dinner

    Category: General AGLA Gayborhood Dinner

    December 30, 2018

AGLA is going to be at Gayborhood Night!

Head over to Freddie’s Beach Bar & Restaurant, 555 23rd St. South, Arlington. Promptly at 6 p.m., we will be seated on the patio. Everyone welcome. Bring friends. AGLA Board members will be there to greet you.

AGLA is reserving the patio from 6-7 p.m. for those want to dine together (on separate checks of course). Freddie’s dinner menu is quite the deal and very delicious.

All are welcome to join us regardless of whether you are an AGLA member or where you reside. Bring a friend, enjoy the great food and drink, meet new people, and catch up with friends you have not seen in a while. Must be 21 or over to get in. There is no cover charge and this is a smoke-free establishment.

Crystal City Metro is the closest Metro stop. When you arrive and exit the fare card reader, go up the first escalator and enter the glass doors on your left. Walk through the underground shops to 23rd St, turn right and cross Eads and walk about a block up. Freddie’s is on the right.

In addition, as ongoing community service, if you can, please bring along travel-sized unused soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. for A-SPAN (http://www.a-span.org/), which provides life-sustaining services for street people. Or clean out your cupboard of unused nonperishable food items for Arlington Food Assistance Center (http://www.afac.org/) . This event will serve as a convenient collection point.
