Enjoy a fun social!
Bring your friends and meet new people from all over the world. No cover. Please join us as at this exciting venue.
If you haven’t joined us in a while, then come on out and make some new friends. Mingle with fabulous LGBTQ folk and allies. TJ Flavell will be there to greet you.
We will meet in Pinzimini Lounge at the Westin Arlington Gateway. The Lounge can be found directly across the lobby. For this event, casual business attire is encouraged. Enjoy the cash bar drinks. See the delicious happy hour menu here: http://www.pinzimini.com/menus
You are welcome regardless of where you live. If you are taking the Metro, get off on the Ballston stop which is two blocks from the Westin Hotel. The South Elevator exit is best. If you are driving, street parking is free after 6 p.m. and paid parking is available at the Hotel and nearby Ballston Mall ($1 parking for up to 3 hours. Or park for free on the street). If you use Valet Parking at the Hotel and purchase a drink at Pinzimini, have the manager sign off on your valet card for complimentary parking.
This social is hosted by NOVA Gay and Lesbian Professionals (http://www.meetup.com/novaglp/). A variety of LGBTQ professionals and allies from all over the DC area will be attending.
In addition, as ongoing community service, if you can, please bring along a canned good for Arlington Food Assistance Center (http://www.afac.org/). This event will serve as a convenient collection point.

We do hope you can join us for the Tiffany Joslyn Scholarship Reception on May 6th.
Each year AGLA awards one outstanding high school senior with a $2,500 scholarship. Recipients are members of their school’s Gay Straight Alliance or whose accomplishments demonstrate significant support for school system policies of diversity, fairness, and safety, as demonstrated in an essay.
AGLA founded the scholarship in 2001 during its 20th anniversary year. By providing some of the resources necessary to attend college, AGLA has helped numerous students with a demonstrated commitment to equality. To ensure that AGLA is able to continue our commitment of providing scholarships for worthy seniors, AGLA will hold a reception on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 11:00 a.m.-1 p.m. at the home of Mr Jeffrey Liteman 1 South Lexington Street, Arlington, VA, 22204, near Route 50 and Carlin Springs. Many community leaders will be attending.
If you are interested in being on the host committee for the reception we would love to have you join us in this most worthy cause. Serving on the host committee is a generous way to help out without having to do any volunteering at the event. All host committee contributors will be recognized for their generosity. Donations can be made online at www.agla.org/donate or by mail to AGLA, P.O. Box 100324, Arlington, VA 22210. Please write on the check or in the online form comments box that it is specifically for the AGLA Scholarship Fund. Donations are tax-deductible.Host Committee Levels

Beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served.The AGLA Scholarship is one of the demonstrable elements of AGLA’s commitment to our community and an opportunity to lend our support to the youth. AGLA has a strong track record of being committed to advancing safe schools policies and ensuring that we have safe schools for ALL our children.
